Icon Tray - just out of curiosity

In the event that Windows Explorer crashes, most of the icons in the icon
tray reappear. Why is it that some of them do not regenerate? For example,
Task Manager doesn't come back.

"Hide inactive icons" may be set in the Taskbar manager. Right-clickt the
"Start" button > select "Taskbar" tab. In the notification area section you
can change this.
