icon on notification area during scan not showing

Help section describe that If a scan is in progress, you can also click the
Windows Defender icon in the notification area to view the status of the
scan. Has anyone seen the Window Defender icon on notification area during
automatic scan or manual scan? I haven't seen this feature during automatic
scanning and manual scanning just wondering wether this is inaccurate.

Just like JimR, I haven't seen the notification icon either.

I remember that before Microsoft Anti-Spyware changed it's name to Windows
Defender, it had a notification icon, but now, I don't know which leads me to
believe that Microsoft either disabled this feature, made it "buggy" during
developement of the program, or they just simply removed it for the time
being so that it won't work at all.

Although, we all got to remember that the help file says:
[This version of Windows Defender is still in development, so some Help
information might be inaccurate or missing.] at the top in brackets.
