Icon of a file..

We create some registered reports.. each having its own icon... and in the
future more might be added. Our interface is general enough to support
future types expect for this problem. I am forced to maintain a List of
icons in my image list to show against each report in my ListView Control..
Is there a way i can take the icon of the report files and display them,
without having to maintain a image list?
