Icon Missing - Help

Dan

My operating system is XP Pro. SP2 installed. Laptop= WinBook Si2.
I've lost (or never had), the wireless connection icon in the "Network
Connections page." I'm told I need access to this set-up a WiFi connection
(?)

I'm currently networked (laptop to PC) with a Linksys WPC11 v2.5 network PC
card and it works well. Linksys states this card will work with WiFi (but
gives no XP support to make it operational for WiFi.) Last week while
traveling, I had access to a free WiFi hot spot. My card didn't show a
connection while other laptops nearby connected fine.

Can someone tell me how to access WiFi?

Thanks for you help...Keith

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the 1394 device, Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the
device drivers again automatically.
