Icon in Inbox

I just installed Outlook 2003 on a friends new laptop and told him
about a cool feature when you forward a message, the icon in the inbox
will change to a blue arrow to indicate you forwarded the message.

Well that's what happens with my outlook express. However, in outlook
(using hotmail) the icon doesn't change. Is there something I'm
missing?

Cheers
