Icon in address bar - IE7

I recently installed IE7. The icons in the address bar and in favorites don't
show up. I tried deleting history as suggested but no joy.
Any suggestions?

Right click under the address bar and select(check) Menu Bar.
The Gold Star is the Favorites Icon, select it and the green arrow next to
History to get Favs to show on the left hand side of the screen.
I think that what you mean. Sorry if i'm wrong.

No - I see the favorites - but not the icon for each site - only a generic
symbol!

for the favorite icons for each site, you have to go there and allow the site to download its symbols.

Himike,

I guess you mean Favicons, which are bmp images held on a site & the link
embedded into the page

Always ask IE questions in the IE Newsgroup as you wi;; get a better reply:

Steve, is what working? Your post? If that's what you mean then yes it
appeared, obviously. You are having problems for one thing because you are
using the web interface, which is an awful way to access what are actually
Usenet newsgroups. I suggest you use a newsreader for a much better
experience. XP comes with Outlook Express which can be configured for
newsgroup access. Here is a link on how to set up OE for this purpose. Do
yourself a favor and ditch the web interface.

please ignore the virtual spanking issued by our resident net nanny.

even though he knows the answer because some other mvp has provided it he feels he does not have to help because you posted to a new groups that he disapproves of.

Posters with questions about IE7 are asked to post to the Internet Explorer
newsgroup.
