Address bar vanished in IE7

A colleague has phoned me in confusion, as the address bar in their Internet
Explorer 7 has disappeared. In earlier versions of IE, I'd just tell them
to right-click in the header section and select 'Address Bar' from the
context-sensitive menu, but this doesn't appear in IE7.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had the same problem. Found the answer in an obscure forum:

Run REGEDIT, find the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions

Make sure that "NoNavBar" regword is set to 0 (zero)
(Do the same for "NoCommandBar" if that is also missing and you want to
display it)
