.ICO not appearing in FrontPage

When I import the favicon.ICO into my web directory, it shows up as an
unknown image (even though I see the image when it is just in its folder on
my hard drive). What have I done wrong? I have attached a screenshot.

I added a screenshot of what the image looks like in my directory at:

The favicon should show up under the following web page:
http://www.arklatexadvertising.com/Careers.htm

Nothing. It is only used by the browser.

Hi Thomas. Regardless it does not seem to be working. Any thoughts? I have
looked at it from many angles and the only thing that seems out of place is
that the icon has that "nothing is going to read me" look when it sits in the
root directory. As seen in this image...

The favicon has to be in the root of your web.
View your live site in IE, then add to favorites, and then you should see the icon.
Also, unless hosted on a Windows IIS server, keep all files and folders name in lower case.

I notice the following in your image:
Delete the thumbs.db files from your web folder, and try to avoid viewing your web content outside
of FP.

Sounds like a problem with the software.

Rename the favicon.ICO to favicon.ico.

http://www.arklatexadvertising.com/favicon.ICO this works, but IE is requesting it as:
http://www.arklatexadvertising.com/favicon.ico, so it is not being found.
