Windows XP ibm thinkpad wont boot up

when i turn my laptop on(ibm thinkpad r31) windows xp comes on the screen, and then just the blue screen. i dont have the disk to reload.is there anything that i can do?

Hi & welcome :wave:

It will blue screen for lots of reasons, normally you will get some error codes on the screen as well, these would be helpful in determining what has happened.

BSOD = blue screen of death.

You should have a blue screen with white writing on it??

If not then something has gone seriously wrong and its more than likely a hardware failure than just a fault.

Nothing like 0 x B00055569679 ????
