I am so frustrated at this point That I BEG help from you
experts. I have a CD w2k pro edition trying to load on a
thinkpad ibm . I have loaded the drivers on the c: drive
and can use my cd-rom now. When I try to run the cd I get
setup must be run w/ windows running. My c- drive was
formatted hence no windows on it. Tried to use the 4
floppy boot disk but it does not reconigze my cdrom. How
can I get w2k on this stinkpad b4 I got nuts. My stinkpad
uses a 1.44 and cdrom exchange slot(I can only use one at

Can you not boot from the Windows 2000 CD? Check in the BIOS to make sure
that CD booting is enabled....

instead of running setup from DOS, change to the I386 folder and run
winnt.exe
(this is the setup program)
