IBM Problem

Some while back I got a genuine IBM machine. It now cycles between in the
|BM boot selection screen and the Windows startup. without ever getting
Windows started. Windows setup can boot,but the repair function cannot So
far I have reinstalled Windows many times.to no avail. I have Windows 5.1,
build 2600 with service pack2 installed.

What method did you use to re-install Windows? How many CD's?

You system is not reliable so you need to do a complete diagnostic of
the system I seen this problem with a bad BIOS and bad hard drive.
You need to do a complete wipe the drive and do a fresh restore. This
will remove all file / programs but should clean up the MBR (master
boot record.)
