I386 Install

Since I had to install my windows xp from the i386
directory, My restore function is missing, the following
files were not installed because they could not be found
during installation:
cyclad-z.inf
cyclom-y.inf
headsp~1.wmz
minipl~1.wmz
utopia~1.wav
utopia~2.wav
utopia~3.wav
utopia~4.wav
sv-262e1.png
sv-262e3.png
sv-262e4.png
My help and support "helpctr.exe" can't be launched from
the taskbar. But I have found it in the system32
subdirectory and it will launch if double clicked on.
Windows update doesn't lauch from the task bar but will
from Inernet explorer.

What can I do to correct this?

Tim, try a System File Check. Go to Start>Run type: sfc /scannow
Have the XP cd in the cdrom drive.

Why did you have to install from the i386 folder? Either way, depending on
how your reg files are set (while having the i386 folder open), go to
Start/Run/CMD and type in: SFC /Scannow
