I would like to animate lines being drawn in Powerpoint

I would like to animate lines drawn in Powerpoint. But not the animation that
allows objects, like lines, to fly in or follow a preset motion path. I'd
like the lines to appear at a start point and then follow a path. During
presentation, I'd like it to look like I am drawing on the slide. Can this be
done?

How to achieve this effect depends on the version of PowerPoint you are
using. Could you post back with your version?

If you use the "Wipe" animation it will appear as you are tracing a set
path. I use it for tracing out drawings/prints. You can also press CTRL+P
and use your mouse to draw your won lines. Pressing "E" will then erase
them. Press CTRL+A to return to the arrow.

This shows some neat trick for animations using PowerPoint 2000. There are
probably easier ways to do all these things in 2002 and 2003, but the
techniques should work in any of those versions.
