Weird, we've never had a problem with them. We've had good luck with
Sony and Toshiba drives too though, so maybe they're worth looking at
if you want to change manufacturers.

My Liteon external DVD burner died after 3 months.
After shipping it to them I did receive a working replacement
drive.

They are slow about providing a RMA and will ONLY talk to
you via email if you want a warranty repair.
