I will formate my Hardisk, how to keep Microsft Outlook data

I would like to format my PC, On the Microsft Outlook 10, I got more than 100
contacs and 200 mails, can I save all this on drive D, so I can return them
back. what if I changed the verison of Microsft Outlook, would that effect.
I tried to copty the contacts from the adress but the option came on gray.

Please advise
