How do I unencode MIME format in Vista when XP is OK?

I've recently bought a desktop running Vista. My previous laptop ran XP (it
died). The verison of Outlook installed on the laptop is installed on the
desktop.

Previously in XP, messages in MIME format downloaded as normal.

With Vista, I am finding that these messages are now coming through in
encoded text.

What must I configure to receive these messages in clear? Email and server
settings are identical.

See post on 1/21/2008 titled "MIME Format" If this is the same problem you
are incurring, Microsoft needs to hear from you. There are several of us
having this same problem and Microsoft doesn't seem to be very interested in
fixing it. It is a conflict between Vista and Office 2003 Outlook. I also
used Office 2003 on XP Pro and did not have this problem. It only surfaced
after installing Vista on a new hard drive, also installing Office 2003
Outlook. If you found a solution, maybe you would care to share it.

This message is for 7WSM. As someone who is also experiencing this problem,
I have been in contact with Microsoft. Because Microsoft outsources it's
tech support to India, and because the people providing tech support for
Microsoft products do not have a command of the English language, it is very
difficult to get through to them, in language they can understand, what the
problem is. They have been provided copies of e-mails affected by this
problem.

Basically, the answer they provide is that there is "no resolution to this
problem at this time." Further, "if enough people start having this problem,
they will address it." In the meantime, if they happen on a solution, they
will let me know.
