I wanted to know something about tracking e-mail messages.

I know it may seem silly (or maybe not), but I can't ever find the tracking
tab when I open up my sent e-mail. It's the same information as before:
Outlook 2003, MSN, HTTP account; but it's a different question. Do you guys
have any thoughts? I open up the sent item, by double-clicking it, but then,
at least when I saw the demo, it looked like there would be two tabs, right
when you double-click it. I've looked at it every once in a while, for
almost a whole day, for one of the messages anyway, but I don't see the
tracking tab. Do you have to do something special once you open it? or maybe
before you double-click on it? Thanks.

The tracking tab will show once you have received a receipt, either read or delivery. If this is for voting responses, you must first receive a voting response.

OK, but where do you find it [the tracking tab], and where do you find the
receipt? Like someone else said, though: step by detailed step. Thank you
very much for this one, anyway, though.

Also, what does "process receipts and requests" mean? Not the "on arrival"
part, just the "process" part?

Process means add the response to the tracking tab and delete the item if that is selected as well. Process on receipt means it is done automagically.

OK, but you didn't answer my first ..last.. question.. where do you find the
receipts and tracking tab? You'll have to guide me through it step-by-step,
though, because I'm not sure if I have it on mine; there's no error message,
but there might be an error or it might not be there... it might be
disabled... I'm sorry to put you through all this, but I really can't find
them, and I followed the Demo and everything... Thank you for listening, and
thank you for whatever reply there is: mad, sad, glad, frustrated, ...

When composing the message press the Options button to set the
tracking/voting options.

When the receipts come back in (read receipts and voting receipts requires
an action of the receiver), mark them as read in the Inbox folder and then
delete them. Then open the original mail in the Sent Items folder and you'll
see a tracking tab.

Note that some mail servers convert the receipt to a normal message; this
will break the tracking and nothing will show on the tracking tab. Other
than complaining at your ISP (or the one from the sender) there is nothing
you can do about it. It could also break when the receiver uses a different
mail client than Outlook.
