I want to put XP Pro on a new hard drive

I have a big problem with my old hard drive. It keeps
crashing!!! I am buying a new hard drive. What do I need
from my old hard drive (like XP activation code or what
not, only the important files) to put on the new one? I
can't put the new hard drive as a slave and copy
everything to it b/c the old one keeps crashing. What
files do I need so microsoft knows its the same computer
just different hard drive?
 
If it is only the HDD you are changing, MS will not need anything except the
OS activation key. Do you happen to have the jewel case from your XP with
the orange label and the 25-character key? If OEM, do you have a label on
your computer?
