When I receive an email with a link in the body I can not click on it. I
have to copy / paste into a browser window. Is there an option I can change
to allow clickable links?

Thanks in advance

Make sure Windows Mail is your default mail program:
Control Panel, Default Programs.

Hi,

This could be happening due to pop-up blockr feature being enabled on your
computer. Please try the following steps:

a. Start Internet Explorer
b. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.
c. Click the Privacy tab and then click Settings.
d. Add the following sites to the list of Web sites to allow pop-ups •
live.com
• msn.com
• hotmail.com
• passport.com

2. If you use software from a third-party that blocks pop-up windows, you
may receive a warning message about a pop-up window, or nothing happens when
you click hyperlinks in e-mail messages. Contact the manufacturer or see the
documents of the third-party software to add Windows Live Mail to the
third-party software's list of safe Web sites.
3. If you receive the following message at the top of the e-mail message,
hyperlink and image content in the e-mail message has been disabled.
Pictures and links in this message have been blocked for your privacy. Show
content
Click the Show Content link to enable the hyperlinks or images in the e-mail
message.
Note By default, hyperlinks and images of all e-mail messages in the junk
e-mail folder are disabled.

Let me know if this helps.

@Chhavi - well I don' think its that... the links are not even hilited to
click on. Its not that it prevents the site from opening. I can't even
click on it.

@Gary - Its the only mail program I have on here.

Hi,

Please check for the following setting :

1) Click on Tools
2) Click on Options
3) Click on the Tab named "Read"
4) Make sure that the option "Read all Messages in plain text" is unchecked
5) Click on OK to close the dialogue box
6) Re-open Windows mail once

Let me know if this works and now the links are highlighted.

Thanks

There are alternatives:
1. You can read mail with a web browser like Internet Explorer.
2. You can download and install a free email program like Thunderbird
or Eudora.

You verified that Windows Mail has all three of its defaults?

Thanks for your reply..... I think so. The url's are highlighted. The 'read
in plain text is unchecked and W. Mail is selected as default programme, but
they still dont respond??

Just because WinMail is shown as the default email program
does not mean it has acquired all three of its possible default
handlers. Go to Default Programs, then
click the first item: "Set your default programs."
After a few seconds a list of programs comes up.
Click on Windows Mail. To the right you should then see
"This program has all its defaults."
If it has less than ALL of its defaults, fix it by clicking on
"Set this program as default."
