I use Outlook as a mail client to a POP3 account and would also like to set
up web access so that I can access my email from other PCs via the web whilst
still leaving the messages on the mail server for later synchronistaion with
Outlook on my main PC. Can I use Outlook Web Access (and how) or will I need
a different web email client (suggestions please?).
Many thanks
Brian

Read my reply to your post earlier this morning.....

Brian Tarmey,
1. On your Main PC, you will need to set the account to leave messages on
the mail server. You will need to set Outlook to remove them after so many
days, or your webmail mailbox will become full.

On your main PC> In OUTLOOK2003(advanced settings may be found in similar
location, in different versions of OUTLOOK)> TOOLS> Email Accts> View or
Change Existing Email Accts> Select the email Acct> Change or Properties
Button> More or Advance Settings button> Advance tab> Select leave messages
on Server> Also Select Remove messages after XX days, I would chose 7 to 14
days, depending on the size of mail box, your service offers. And if you
feel comfortable, also select delete messages from server, when they are
deleted from Outlook. You may want to leave this uncheck for a month or so,
based on the method you download messages to alternate PC.

If you plan on alternate PC's, using OUTLOOK, you will set the Account
settings for this account the same way that you have on your Main PC. You
may want to set the Delete message from server, when deleted or placed in
Deleted Items folder, on only this PC.

Can you tell me how to change my settings from the Outlook connector? I am
recieving an email telling me that in order to continue recieving email on my
phone I need to leave messages on the server, but when I try to change that
option on my main pc, the only thing that comes up is a window to sign into
windows connector so it can sync with my web based accounts? My entire
problem is that I have a hotmail account and an msn account. In the email
accounts change window it shows my msn acct as the default and as a MAPI.
Please help, I thought this was going to be my answer, that I have been
serching for----for hours. This post almost got me there, but the outlook
connector intervened. Thanks in advance
