After upgrading to Office 2007 - Beta 2. My Outlook stays in a state of
disconnected. I have full internet access in both IE and Firefox, but am
unable to connect even after reconfiguring the setup.

Yes.

I have checked to make sure that "Work Offline" is not checked. I did not
have this issue when I was in Outlook this morning until after I upgraded to
the Beta release.

What type of accounts? If you have an Exchange account then how are you
connecting to it?

I'm connected to a LAN. I've specified the Exchange Server Address (and it is
still pingable from my computer). The displayed name is correct. Should I
rebuild that connection from scratch?

Also, if I attempt to "repair" the connection.

When it tries to access via an encrypted connection is makes the network
connection but cannot find my server settings.

If I click for it to then try an unencrypted connectionu. It will not make
the network connection.

I believe that I may be stuck with downgrading my version of Outlook to 2003

Also, if I build the connection from scratch. Then I get the following error
when I attempt to log-on.

Cannot Start MOO. Cannot Open the Outllook window. The set of folders cannot
be opened. You must connect to your Microsoft Exchange Server computer with
the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your offline
folder file.

Which version of Exchange? If it is Exch 5.5 then Outlook won't work against
it.
I'd try creating a new connection. Remember also that Outlook 2007 beta 2
won't run against Exchange when delivery is set to a local PST.

Same problem here, although I experienced it through a different means. I've
had Outlook 2007 B2 installed for about a month or so now, and besides the
..PST delivery problem, it's been working fine. Yesterday I was showing
another employee how to reconnect her Outlook if it says 'disconnected' at
the bottom, and showing her that if you clicked and checked 'work offline'
you would be working offline and have to reconnect, etc. Once I clicked
'work offline' and Outlook entered "Offline" state, I haven't been able to
connect again. When I un-tick 'Work Offline', it shows up as 'Disconnected'.
I am unable to send/receive e-mails because of this, as Outlook throws an
error, "Task 'Microsoft Exhange Server - Sending' reported error (0x80040115)
: 'The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook
must be online or connected to complete this action."

As the previous poster, I can connect to my exchange server 7 ways from
sunday, and can ping it properly. Also, my connection test exhibits the same
behavior. Testing fails at the encrypted server test, then when it continues
to the standard network test it claims it cannot connect to any network or
server and tells me to install a new network before it will let me retry.
(The retry button is greyed out.)

Any ideas on this one?

Workaround:
Close Outlook 2007 B2
Open 'Mail' Control Panel Applet
Remove Exchange Server Account
Re-create Exchange Server Account
Select 'Manually Control Connection State', and tick 'Connect with the
network'.
Re-open Outlook 2007 B2.
Poof. Connection to the Server restored. (At least, in my case.)

Let me know if anyone wants more information.
