i set follow up on emails but its not remid me and also not give

i set follow up on emails. but its not remid me. and also its not give

I have FOLLOW UP flags attached to various EMAILS that don't show up as
reminders....
I set the date, time, etc., and when the magical moment arrives... Nothing
happens. I've made sure that under Advanced Options the sound and reminder
boxes are checked...Is there anything else I can try to get Outlook to remind
me about follow up calls I need to make to my EMAILS? It is so
frustrating!

Have you used a rule to move these emails from the Inbox? AFAIK follow-ups
and reminders only work on emails in the Inbox.
