Hello, I had to reboot my computer because of some
problems, and last time I had to reboot I used the quick
restore cd's (there are 3) this time for some reason my
computer didn't reboot with those cd's so I had to use
the recovery disk (this is just one cd), now my computer
works fine but before I had other programs such as
Microsoft works and now I don't have it becuase that
program comes in the other three disks. I now have a very
basic windows XP whereas before I had a lot of other
stuff. Any advice on how to reboot from the quick restore
cd's. Thank you

First, rebooting means that you're restarting the computer: turning it off
and turning it on again. It sounds like what you're actually trying to do is
repair or reinstall your operating system, correct?

As far as the restore CDs, they're specific to the manufacturer of the
computer, and are very different from retail versions of Windows as far as
how things are installed. You might be best off contacting the manufacturer
to see how you're supposed to get everything back to the way it was.

Use the newsgroups to ask questions on how to fix problems and stop
restoring your computer to its original factory state with the recovery
CDs.
