Subject: I/O error for CD-RW
Date: Mon, 24 May 2004 13:39:13 -0400
HI,
Where can I change the I/O number? In device manager? My CD-RW gives me
an error there is a conflict for this device even though I do not see the
error in device manager. Can anyone help?!?
Thank You

The I/O resource settings for drives are listed in the properties of the
IDE controller that they are connected to under the "Resources" tab. These
settings cannot be changed.
If you open MSINFO32 you can see some detailed information on resource use,
but Device Manager should should any conflicts.
If there IS a resource issue, the problem likely lies in
What is the exact error message that you get, and when do you get it ?
Are there any system event log errors that relate to this problem ?
