cd rw drive missing

Help
My "D" drive for the cd rw is missing. I have tried to install and uninstall it using device manager. I have an !exclaimation with "error 19". I cannot get it to work with all of my attempts so far. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Try removing the drive in device manager. shut down the
computer. oprn the case disconnect the drive. restart the
computer. shut down reconnect drive make sure all cables
and powersuply lines are properly connected. Start the
computer. plug and play should reinstall it. if this
doesn't work ther is probably somthing wrong with the cdrw
drive. Try it in a different box to be sure;
