I/O Device Error Message

When I try to transfer data from a disc to the hard drive,
(I use the "Run D: in the Start Menue) I get an error
message that says, "I/O Devive Error". This has just
started to happen in the last 2 days. Prior to this,
everything was fine. Please Help
 
Hi Chris,

Try going to Device Manager and select the disk controler and the the
controller channel that the D: drive is on. Change the transfer to PIO only
and test.
