I need to uninstall Windows Media Play 11 beta

I'm a SKY subscriber and want to watch it on my new laptop. It requires WMP10
but I foolishly downloaded WMP11 beta thinking that would be better. However,
SKY broadband doesn't work with WMP11. I have tried to remove 11 (it tells me
some other programme needs it), I've tried to restore back to a previous date
(but it keeps saing it can't).

Take pity on an average bloke in the street.

Any ideas?

I wouldnt know this if I did just remove WMP 11.
Go to control panel >Add or remove programs > Add/remove windows components
check WMP 11 and remove it. Then go into Add or remove programs and under
Windows XP software updates(make sure you have show updates checked at the
top), click Windows Media Player 11(should be at top) and remove it. It will
do a rollback of media player to 10
