I need to enter hundredths of a second in excel?

I am creating a spreadsheet that averages swim times. I need to go to the
hundredths of a second.

Use mm:ss.00 and type in eg 0:45.38 for 45.38 secs.

If you type in 0:75.38 Excel will convert the minutes for you and
display 1:15.38.

If you only want seconds to show, use a format of [ss].00 and type
75.38, will display as such.
