No. Your terminal servers should be in close proximity to your back-end
application servers whenever possible, to avoid this problem, i.e. your TS &
Exchange Server should be on the same network segment, NOT separated by a WAN
Link. RDP traffic is much better to send across a WAN link than MAPI.

But today I implement Terminal service on LAN and WAN (for another site to
access) to reduce maintenance man-hour and cost. I outsource exchange service
(another site). Then I can't segment Exchange server and Terminal server to
the same network. So no possible way to enable this feature??

No. Terminal Services works fine across a WAN connection, but the data
services users access (i.e. SQL Server, Exchange, other databases & file
servers) need to be on the same side of the WAN as the TS or you'll saturate
your WAN connection.

IT don't make sence that you can't enable the sellection for cache mode when using your Outlook on a Terminal server.

When using third party tools, that function needs to be enabled (e.g. 3rd party search engines like Xobni)

I notices the above issue is a very old issue, but i'm just supprised no soloution on this issue came up so far.

I got the same problem as KIC, and it's anoying that i'm not able to set it to cache mode.

Thanks
