I Need HELP!

I am running Windowsw XP Home Edition and from
downloading a file from somewhere i have ended up with
the virus Backdoor.Sdbot and to remove this virus i need
to edit the registry. I want to do a complete registry
backup and to do this i have to install a utility from
the winXP home cd-rom. One problem - my computer did not
come with a windows cd-rom. The only CD's it came with
are:
Microsoft Works 6.0
Microsoft Money 2002 Standard
Encarta Encyclopedia 2002

How can i do i complete registry backup???????

BTW: I have an HP Pavilion. It came pre installed withwin
xp home and the above software.

P.S. Im also wondering something else - I have a 2.4GHz
P4 processor but my computer runs slower than my old P1
system and when I go to system processes it says my
processor is running at 100% even though that is the only
program running. Plz get back to me on this one too.

Load regedit click file on toolbar click export.

1) contact whoever you bought that system from and tell them you need the XP
install CD, someday you might
2) invest in some antivirus software

Check task manager and see what program is using all your CPU time. Could
be the virus, could be something else.

If you backup the registry, remember that the virus is also
there too.

instructions at www.mcafee.com or whichever AV program you
use.
