I need help with uploading a web page using Front Page.

I keep getting this error: Could not find a web server at
"www.firstbornupc.com" on port 21. Please check to make sure that the web
server name is valid and your proxy setting are set correctly.

I have checked the web service name; it is valid. Not sure what to do next.
I've also been able to upload via Ipswitch, however, it doesn't let me
publish the pictures. I need to publish the picture on my web page.

Look at the help files at your provider and get the correct path &
port numbers. I would think, you or the provider will have to turn on
Front Page Extensions & you'll need to delete what's already up before
publishing with FP.

If you've uploaded with FTP then you've probbaly corrupted the server
extensions (if they are being used). They'll need to be repaired/checked
and/or reinstalled (via your host a/c control panel or through the host's
support).

Remember, do not use FTP (either something like Cute FTP, WS_FTP or
Frontpage's FTP mode) if you use the FP server extensions on your server.

Use Frontpage's Http: mode only.

I'm not sure why you can transfer image files via FTP - unless there's some
restriction in place by your host/ISP - exceeded traffic transfer amount or
file upload size restrictions etc.

"Could not find a web server at "www.firstbornupc.com" on port 21. Please

That error is simply saying Frontpage could not locate a web domain on a
server with functioning server extensions allowing it to publish the site.

This is something your host's support could talk you through to solve the
issues.

Everyone is assuming FP server extensions. My tests indicate FPSE are *not*
installed. The issue, as the OP stated, has to do with Port 21, the FTP
port.
