Did you do as I suggested, that was to install all of the Office XP updates
and have your host install the latest updates to the Unix/Linux FP
extensions?

Yes i have installed all office updates but i dont remember any update that
was just for front page. And i have sent an email to my host
www.hostonic.com and waiting for them to reply
this is the list of updates
Office XP Service Pack 1 (English version)
Office XP Service Pack 2 (English version)
Office XP Security Patch: KB822036
Word 2002 Security Patch: KB824934
Word 2002 Update: October 16, 2002
Outlook 2002 Update: January 22, 2003
Excel 2002 Update: October 16, 2002
Office XP WordPerfect 5.x Converter Security Patch: KB824938 (English
version)
Access 2002 Snapshot Viewer Security Patch: KB826293 (English version)

Is there any other info that will help

Ok, it is appears that you have all Office Updates installed, you can double
check by going to:

http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate/default.aspx

and click on Check for Updates

You now have to wait for a reply from your host, as they will need to do
their part by installing the latest update for the FP2002 extensions.

Then once the host has installed the updates, you will need to do a complete
re-publish of your web site.

You may want to delete your FP and use Dreamweaver, but Dreamweaver is
similar to FP, you have to have an IQ, purchase books to read and test to
learn, so you may still experience 'Operator Error' - Why didn't you think
of that...?

Bobby,

Open you live site on the remote server in FP, then do Tools | Web Settings.
You will see the exact version of the FP extensions installed for your
account, does this match the version indicated below?

The latest version of the FP extensions available for Unix/Linux running the
patched Apache 1.3.19 web server are: 5.0.2.2623

It doesn't matter how many clients are using FP extensions on the host, not
all will have the problem.

5.0.2.2634 is what is says. I beleave in one thing and that is that you
learn something new everyday and today I learned that you could open a site
in Front Page right off the server and ill just do it this way and i like
this way better now.

Thank You So Much for all your time

It was going good for a wile and now i can save a page close it and open it
back up and it is doing the same thing again. And in the HTML view i see

<BODY>
<BODY>

<BODY>
<BODY>

<BODY>
<BODY>

and so on the number os times it repeats and i can erase them and it erases
everything except the shared borders. Is there a way to stop it from doing
this????

T

Thomas A. Rowe

Bobby,

I don't have any additional thoughts. However I can't find any reference to
the Version number you listed in your other email.

That version number is typed right.
All that I know it is the shared boarders that are messing up and in the
HTML view you will see what I but in my last mail

<BODY>
<BODY>

<BODY>
<BODY>

When it is doubled, and it happens when I open a page change it and save
then close and when I open it back up it is messed up again.

Is there any way that I can completely get rid om Microsoft office all the
way off my computer and then I could reinstall it.

Thanks For the help
Bobby

Bobby,

I don't think re-installing is going to solve this.

When you view your pages locally in FP and Preview in Browser are you seeing
this duplication or just after you have published the site to the remote
server?

Locally are you working with a disk-based web (C:\..) or server-based
(http://) and are you always opening a web (File Menu | Open Web)?

You see the double in the normal and prevoew on FP and on the server.
And it remembers what web I was in last and it opens it up.

Thanks again

Bobby,

Try creating a brand new web or creating a folder in your current web, and
then right clicking on it and selecting to convert to a web. Then create a
few pages and apply a theme with navigation.

Is this problem repeated in this new web?

Bobby,

Try this...

Open the actual share border pages in the _borders folder, switch to HTML
view and look for the following line in the head section:

<meta name="Microsoft Border" content="tlb">
(the tlb = top left bottom, so you may only see tl or lb, etc.)

change it to read:

<meta name="Microsoft Border" content="none">

Does the shared border page also have the closing </body></html> tags?

Also make sure you main pages also have closing </table>, </body></html>
tags as well.
