Have a webbsite hosted by a webbhotel which I need to update, is there
someway of knowing if this has been created in Front Page and if not do I
have to make other considerations if I intend to work with it in Front Page.
Also how do I know if it has front page extensions.

To test for FrontPage extensions, look for
http://www.example.com/_vti_inf.html where www.example.com is your
domain name.

If the page exists, then FrontPage extensions have been installed. If
you can open the site in FrontPage then the extensions are working.

If the pages are .asp, .htm, or .html then FrontPage can be used without
problems. Other extensions may not be so easy to work with - it's a
case of try it and see. Make a backup of the site first.

It is always best to work on a copy of the web site on your PC, no
matter what editing program you use - mistakes are kept to your own
copy, and there is a backup on the web.
