This is my first build and will appreciate input from anyone. My first
question is what would be a good matching motherboard for this processor?
Preferably a motherboard with accomadations for some really nice RAM that
won't break the bank.

AOpen AX4C MAX or AX4SPE MAX. Awesome boards, relatively inexpensive,
i865xx chipset, four DDR400 memory slots. Lan, firewire, SATA Raid,
(loaded!). -Dave

The Intel 865 DPERL offers HT and dual channel memory support as does the
ASUS P4P800 Deluxe.

I'm running the INTEL with a 3.0ghz P4 with a gig of pc3200 ddr memory, and
the ASUS with a 2.4ghz P4 with the same amount of ddr pc3200 memory. As for
memory, I've a combo of Kingston and Elixir on both boards without conflict.
Both systems are rock solid running XP home edition.
