i`m havind an AMD Athlon 64 3200+,ATI Xpress 200 Integrated Graphics.I tried
changing the PSU to670 Watts, disabling the shared graphics in BIOS,installing
the device in safe mode,updating it`s drivers,installing KB 936710,KB
938194,KB 938979 and KB 940105. When i plugg in the card to my PCIe slot and
restart the system,it takes about 5 minutes to log on.Every thing has slowed
down, even the mouse and the cursor. The PC now always utilises 100% CPU all
the time and every thing is damn slow. When the card is removed, evrything is
perfect. What`s happening here?is there any conflicts?

so were u having the same symptoms? i tried it today again..it installed
without any problems.it then asked me to restart..so then i restarted and i`m
having the same issue(slow PC and 100% CPU).No other problems encountered. If
possible can you tell me what`s the driver version for your 2600XT which
worked.

I used the 7-11 version to correct the problem I was having, different from yours.
mine was constantly crashing.

might totally uninstall the ATI stuff, reboot and try installing it again.

the 7-11 drivers worked for me on hd2600xt and hd2900xt.
