I lost part of my word, where did it go?

I was putting things into my word document, went back to reread and almost
everything I put in was gone. Where could it have possibly gone??

You realize that questions like this are difficult to answer, right? Without
a bit more information, I can only guess.

Was this a document that was attached to an email?
