I LOST MY WORK

I WAS USING WORD TODAY TO CREATE A DOCUMENT AND AT ABOUT 3PM IT VANISHED,
WHERE DID IT GO AND CAN I GET IT BACK. I HAVE HAD A FAIR FEW PROBLEMS WITH
MICROSOFT OVER THE PAST 6 WEEKS OR SO. BASICALLY I HAD THE WORD DOCUMENT AND
AN OUTLOOK DOCUMENT OPEN ALL DAY IN MY TASK TRAY SWAPPPING BETWEEN AT WILL,
WORKING ON EACH THROUGHOUT THE DAY THEN ON ONE OF OUTLOOK SWAPS IT WOULD'NT
OPEN THEN A FEW SECONDS LATER IT AS ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO SEND AN ERROR
REPORT I DECLINED. THEN THE WORD DOC VANISHED AND LEFT THE OUTLOOK DOC THAT I
DONT REALLY CARE FOR. I NEED THE WORD DOC BACK . ANY HELP WILL BE GOOD, PAUL

Perhaps the problem is that your caps lock is stuck? This is considered
shouting and shouting at people you are asking for help is not the best way
to get that help!

Did you at any time save the document you were working on? If so the last
saved version will be where you saved it. If not then a crashed document
that is not recovered by Word's automatic file recovery mechanism (if
activated) will be lost. No save - nothing to recover.

Set Word's option to automatically save recovery information every ten
minutes or so. Set the option to automatically create a backup file. Get
into the habit of saving the document you are working on regularly.
