I lost my Windows XP CD

I want to reinstall my operating system but I lost my
windows XP home CD. I still have the authentication
paperwork so I know the key I need to use but I am
wondering where I get the software once I format my hard
disk?

The above will not apply to an OEM CD. You will need to contact your supplier.

That Product Key will work with any CD of the type (eg a retail XP Home
Upgrade one). See if you can borrow one
