I lost my password to log on....

I cant log onto my laptop as i have either deleated or lost my old password....i have no quelms about losing all my data but i can't even get to a prompt screen so that i can re-install.....i have tried my old user name and password as well as guest and admininstrator with no luck, any suggestions or help would be agreatly appriciated

Your laptop won't let you boot its CD-ROM drive (so you can boot using the
Windows 2000 CD)?
