i lost a word documnet while i was copying it in my usb. now what?

Hi i ve lost an imortant word dicument while i was copying it form my
documents into my usb stick. Any help will be deeply appreciated.

If you were "copying" it by using File>SaveAs in Word, you may be out of
luck. You should never work with Word documents on removable media.

Rather documents should always be opened and saved from the hard drive and
Windows Explorer should be used to copy the documents to/from the hard drive
when the document is closed.
