I know a program works but it won't install.

Error Message: Could not execute main setup program.

This program I know works. I took the same folder, a copy, and installed
and opened the program on my downstairs computer. I suspect something's
wrong again with my registry or something, but when I click the setup icon
for this program, I receive the above Error Message. I've been using
Registry Mechanic to help keep my registry correct, but it doesn't seem to be
workng. At least, not 100 percent. Please help.

Try again and note the *exact wording* of the error message. Also give the
name of the software and your Windows version,

How did you copy it, did you run the full installation program or just copy
a folder?

I worked it out. I had copied onto a DVD disc, and some of the infor wasn't
transcribed. When I took from the original source, it worked. I want to
thank you all anyway.
