I keep getting error message"Can't contact LDAP Directory server (81)"

I get this message and then I can't add therest of my
addresses. If it lets me add the addresses they won't send
the e-mail out. I have tried not to use my address book
because I've been told that viruses hit your address book
and send viruses to all your contacts. But if I'm going to
take the time to individually put my addresses in each
time, which is very time consuming, I need it to work. Can
you help me?? JC
