I hear e-mails arrive but they do not appear in the inbox

I hear e-mails arrive but they do not appear in the inbox
or anywhere that I can find for that matter. I have not
received anything in three days that I can see/read. When
I send tests to myself I hear them arrive but they do not
arrive in the inbox. I did a complete scan of my system
and there were no viruses detected. The only thing tha is
out of the ordinary that I can think of is that I
received three messages late last week telling me that my
paypal account was expiring and I have no such account.

Check your view settings to make sure you aren't filtering anything in the
inbox.
Check for e-mail rules to see if items are being moved to another folder

Re the paypal messages - they're a scam and aren't really from paypal
anyway - the people who sent it just want to see if they can get people's
paypal login info so they can steal money.
