this antivirus softwate through my cable company. It found a malicious code
in the following link: c:\windows\system32\drivers\ipi10k1m.sys This was
deleted and now i am not able to view my pictures does this has anything to
do with it? How would i go about getting the
c:\windows\system32\drivers\ipi10k1m.sys back on my computer?

Try this...
Click START button|RUN and type this into the box...

regsvr32 /shimgvw.dll

Press the <enter> key

Now see if you can view the pics.
 
That did not work unless i need to restart my computer. At this time i cant
restart it but will do so and give an update.
 
ipi10k1m.sys, if you typed it correctly, was probably some kind of malware,
aka a virus. I doubt that you want it back.

I still cant see my pictures. I tried the run and they still havent shown up.

Scroll down to...
80. Disable or Restore Picture and Fax Viewer
Click on Restore.

pictureandfaxrestore.reg is the file that will download.

Also if that doesn't work...
[[Installing a third-party image editor or viewer applications may sometimes
hijack the image file associations. In those cases, this utility allows you
repair the file associations for the following image file types to Windows
XP defaults:

BMP DIB EMF GIF JFIF JPG JPE JPEG PNG TIF TIFF WMF ]]
