On a site that I am a host on and the audio is so bad people say that it
sounds like I am underwater, I don't have a clue whats wrong, have called
Gateway who had Vista installed and they are no help, logitech can't help,
they all say its windows vista causing the problem does anyone have any
suggestions?
Thanks, Laura

When a hardware maker says 'Vista is the problem', you need to translate
that beg of the question. Yes, it's Vista's need for a Vista compatible
driver. Those folks who are saying Vista is causing the error are sliding
around the issue of who, exactly, sold the hardware, and is responsible for
making a driver that runs in Vista.
Gateway needs to come up with a driver, or offer you a free sound card that
works.
