Got any ideas as to why when I right click on "Start"..scroll up to
"Explore" that the files won't open..even some files I had save on my
desktop won't open..

I did a complete virus scan with Norton 2004..did a defrag..speed disk
etc etc..but all in vain?

Anyone know what causes this?..I'd sure like to get on with my puter
life..am retired and miss it LOL...Jim

I am not certain what you mean by "open". If you mean that you cannot
see the drive/folder/files lists then click the icon Folders or select
the menu View/select Explorer Bar/select Folders. If you don't want to
use the Explorer Bar, then you can navigate from the Start Menu folder
which is what is initially displayed by clicking the folder icon with
the green "up" arrow (just to the right of the Forward arrow, white in a
grey circle) which will display the directory contents in the heirarchy
above the start menu items.

Thanks kindly...but I guess I shoulda` been a tad more specific on
this Quaoar.

Even if I double click on the files I have sittin` on the desktop I
can't get them to open...like wise when I right-click on
Start---Explore..I can't get anything ta` open..

I can get into my hard drive via Ctrl. Alt. Del. (Windows Task
Manager) but that's a long waya` doin` anything LOL..

Thanks kindly for that input tho....Jim
