I have Outlook 2002 and I cannot send email. Error message 0X800C

I can't send email. It happened suddenly. I have disabled Norton to no
avail. What else can I do?

Call your e-mail provider. They could be down.

Temporarily disable your firewall.

More possibilities, but you didn't give an error message. Your question
is too vague. Who are you attempting to connect to (i.e., what is the
IP name of your outbound mail server)? Can you still browse the web?
Have you tried their webmail interface to see if that still works okay?
 
The error message is 0X800CCC0F. The connection to your server was
interrupted please contact your adminstrator or ISP.

Have you tried "pinging" your mail server?
 
I was able to ping the server and I am able to get on the Internet. I have
also temporarily shut down my Norton firewall, spam filter, etc.
