I emailed support services 2 days ago asking for help
concerning Outlook 2002. I still have not gotten a
response. Please help. For some reason I can not send out
emails however I can receive them. What is the cause of
this. I know that I installed the softare properly.
When I try to send an email to someone it is returned
immediately as undeliverable.

Thanks,
Chris Kicidis

Set your outgoing server to authenticate.

By the way, this is not MIcrosoft support. This is a volunteer peer-to-peer
news group where you may or may not get an answer to your question
immediately. Most of us have real lives and do not sit and wait for
questions to appear in the news groups so we can provide an answer
immediately.

If you require an immediate response to your question, contact Microsoft
Product Support Services.

The most comon cause of this is that you are not properly authenticating to
the outgoing server. Click >Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next. Select your
account and click Change, More Settings, then the Outgoing Server tab.
Check the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" box. Click
OK, Next, then Finish.

Lol, and if you don't hear it enough, many of us appreciate all the effort.
