Thanks to Andy Manchesta who helped me get rid of EGroup. I have received a
bill for internet service via the EGroup dialer. This dialer was loaded as
my 13 year old was on the internet looking for game cheats. This group of
scum fed us with one porno popup after another. I am mad and will not pay I
am going to give this bill to my attorney and tell him to go after these
jerks and if possible shut them down.
Any one like to join me let me know.

Hi

Maybe to join up with UKs Microsoft security chief ;)

http://news.cnet.co.uk/software/0,39029694,39192204,00.htm

Nevertheless these hijacks against dialups must lead to
a better protection. Its been critical now for years and
MS are doing nothing to protect this dialup connection within
Windows. Must be rather easy to make it more robust against hijacks.

And mostly all users must pay the bill from the telco............ ;(

Hi David

Your right not to pay, You need legal advise on this but
if this was installed without consent and you didnt see a
EULA they cannot charge you for any services that
resulted from this, It's alot easier said than proved
though especially if your son clicked afew things he
shouldnt of but knowing exactly what sites he visited
would help to see if they did display a dialer warning.I
hope you get a positive result.

Here's who you are dealing with incase you need to pass
this on.

Dude,

Besides not paying these guys, file a report with the
FCC and with the your state attorney's office, especially
if you live in California. The government is actively
pursuing these kinds of people, and prosecuting them.

Good luck.

Hi Stu

Naughty ? Well maybe for the security chief which
probably been visiting "the swamp" ;)

Nevertheless it must be rather easy to protect a dialup
number if MS wish to do so !
