I have fully deleted important messages. How can I recover them?

I have XP Professional and am now using Outlook (previously OE) and in the
change over important emails kept in a sub folder were deleted from both. I
would like to retrieve them and I believe that they could be stored in
Outlook.pst or in .dbx files but I don't know how to proceed.
Your help would be much appreciated
 
Just simply go to your Deleted Items under your Personal Mailbox and select
then select Tools and Recover Deleted Items.
Usually you will be able to find most of what you thought you had deleted
permanently...Cheers

I have Outlook2000 and there is no Recover Deleted Items under Tools to
select. So now what can I do
